Permit Manager

The permit manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of one or more contracts that ALL has with various government and private utility companies.
Duties include organizing staff training preparing operating plans and tracking capital improvement projects.
This person will ensure that the field staff complete all aspects of our management commitments to our clients including Weekly revenue tracking safety program implementation facility inspections and care appropriate guest services and water system monitoring and reporting.
The permit manager will intervene in staff management challenges and will be the liaison between the client like the Forest Service and the field staff as well as the eyes and ears of the corporate office staff.
Responsibilities will include the following District Managers Support Training Organize and facilitate the New DM Orientation and ongoing training programs.
Orientation and Safety meetings are often hosted by the DM but occasionally they will need assistance to make the meetings more effective.
The PM should plan on attending all of the orientation meetings and several of the safety meetings and assist if needed.
PM should assure that all orientation topics are covered and all staff attend.
After observing and working with the District Managers provide additional training in any weak areas.
Review budgets with each DM and teach them how to manage and monitor their budget performance.
Reporting Insure written instructions for startup and closure are developed and accurate by reviewing and approving the District Managers plans in the District Manager Handbook binder that stays in each of their specific permit districts.
Assist all DMs in complying with standardized reporting formats that are sent to the Corporate Office.
Facilities Management Provide training on GT procedures and assist in organizing and supervising projects and completing the paperwork in a timely manner.
Provide assistance in scheduling staff to complete campground upkeep in an efficient and effective manner.
Train DMs on factors to consider when deciding when to call for journeyman skill level support verses doing the project or tasks with ones own staff.
Assure DMs are regularly reviewing and modifying our contractual relationships with vendors and service providers.
Be prepared to work in the campgrounds especially when we are short on staff.
Water Systems Attend or assure that one of our staff attends sanitary surveys conducted by water management agencies.
Make sure the DM has seen and is actively correcting deficiencies noted on the most recent county or state sanitary survey.
Verify water testing is being done consistently and accurately.
Assure that the DM is taking and documenting the appropriate repeat samples according to the rules established.
Verify the water tests are all completed on time and the results forwarded to the ALL corporate office and the appropriate agencies.
Verify DM has developed water system operating procedures maps including testing procedures logging water system activity and an emergency notification plan.
Staff Management Spend time during the season in each district.
The amount of time you spend in a given district will vary depending on the district our management team in the district etc.
Work with the District Manager and the campground hosts to help them effectively resolve complaints.
Make sure that each area has a functioning responsible number two person in charge to cover whenever the DM is absent.
Provide year end evaluations of each DM.
Provide year end recommendations for DM relocations for the upcoming year.
Coach and supervise DMs including providing disciplinary activity needed.
Consult with corporate staffing manager during disciplinary actions and for authorization to terminate an DM.
Campground Managers Support Identify and recruit campground managers who can become Assistant District Managers and District Managers.
Give the campground managers opportunities to provide feedback or voice concerns.
Forward that information to Corporate Office.
Assist the District manager in training the campground managers in effective campground management skills.
Help with the campground managers with relocation goals.
Permit Administrators Support Be a liaison with the Forest Service between each district and the corporate office staff by meeting with the permit administrators and being aware of their expectations for the campgrounds.
Assist in developing and maintaining a positive relationship between the Company and our partners.
Encourage district managers and campground managers to provide timely reports on campground usage.
Become familiar with the responsibilities outlined in the various permit documents to assist DMs in fulfilling our obligations.
Encourage our Forest Service State Park or PGE partners to meet consistently with our area managers regional managers and vice president when in the area.
Insure we are providing all necessary feedback to our partners on our management of their facilities.
Verify that the required reports that are turned into the PM are on time and accurate.
Help resolve permit issues.
The Corporate Office Support GT Management Verify status and completion of GT projects and accuracy of GT paperwork.
Budget Management Review all of the DMs Weekly Activity Reports and contact the DMs to review corrective action for those areas that are operating outside of acceptable parameters.
Inspect the DMs budget tracking system and assure that the DM is on target or has a plan to get that way.
Provide a Regional Weekly Activity Report to the Corp.
Office.
Approve expenditures up to for equipment purchases.
Asset Management Inspect the company equipment tools vehicles golf carts etc.
and make sure they are properly maintained labeled and reported as company owned equipment.
Make recommendations as to relocation of vehicles or where we need to provide new vehicles golf carts etc.
Report relocations to the Corp office.
Provide a complete inventory of company assets and the condition of those assets.
If there is unused equipment or materials in one area the Permit Administrator will arrange to transfer that equipment to where it will be used.
Company Growth Help with collecting information on new bids and evaluations of potential areas of growth for the company.
Assist in writing and editing the company wide training programs.
Reporting Insure end of season paperwork is completed and accurate.
Make sure that the required quantities of photos for the NRRS web site are provided for each area.
Review and assist with yearend Operating Plan changes for each permit.
Verify the staff roster in corporate office is accurate compared to the actual roster of the district.
Evaluate the district after the visit.
The evaluation will describe our relationship with the Forest Service and the district managers relationship with the staff and any feedback from the Forest Service PGE or campground managers will also be forwarded to the corporate office.
Bachelors Degree preferred Associates Degree Required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
