Medical Assistant or OR Tech
Job Description
Assisting orthopedic physician in patient care as well as administrative work.
Responsibilities
Room patients, take vital signs, complete intake
Document patient complaints, intake, visit notes, records, orders, etc. in electronic chart
Scribe for physician as needed during patient visits
Prepare for procedures in a sterile environment
Assist physician with procedures
Draw blood
Educate patients on exercises, follow-up care, pre- and post-op care
Assist front office staff as needed and serve as back-up to Front Desk with answering phones, scheduling patients, and taking payments.
Qualifications
Certified Medical Assistant (or other medical certification such as CNA, EMT, ATC)
Previous experience in medical office preferred
Minimum of High School Diploma
Proficient in basic computer programs:
Windows, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical records
Type 55
WPMEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
